Petro-Canada’s ‘Supreme Synthetic’ 0W-16 & 0W-20 engine oils are designed to provide exceptional lubrication for today’s vehicles, offering drivers the freedom to enjoy their cars as they have supreme confidence in their oil choice.
Petro-Canada says that they are part of the great Supreme Synthetic range, boasting long engine life through enhanced lubrication and protection of critical engine parts, including enhanced protection for the latest emission control systems, turbochargers, and injection engines.
It claims that Supreme Synthetic engine oils can confidently claim such high performances due to their pure advantage over competitor oils.
This range is formulated using Petro-Canada base oils, which are among the purest base oils in the world, offering base oils that are 99.9 per cent pure.
This extreme purity in combination with leading edge additive technology ensures the range offers maximum performance to deliver exceptional resistance to thermal breakdown, outstand low temperature fluidity and excellent protection against wear and deposit formation under the most server driving conditions.

Petro-Canada tells us that Supreme Synthetic 0W-20 is also approved for exceeding GM’s dexos 1 Gen 2 and meets the Ford WSS-M2C962-A1 and it and the Supreme Synthetic 0W-16 meet the requirements for use in Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Toyota and many more vehicles which require a 0W-20 oil with ILSAC GF 5 or GF 6.
