Eric Forde, RIP
Eric Forde, formerly a popular member of the Gem Oils team for 47 years up to his retirement in 2019, passed away recently. Here is an acknowledgement and reflection from a member of the team at Gem Oils.
It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our dear friend and retired colleague, Eric Forde.Eric joined the Gem family in 1972 and dedicated 47 years of his career to our company, retiring in 2019. During this time, he served as an Area Business Manager with unwavering dedication and professionalism.
Eric’s kindness, integrity, and loyalty left an enduring mark on all who had the privilege to work alongside him. He was not only a valued colleague but also a mentor, a leader, an ambassador and a true stalwart of Gem Oils.
Eric’s contribution to our organisation went far beyond his work—his warmth, humour, and generosity of spirit enriched the lives of his colleagues and friends. He will be remembered with deep respect and great affection.
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his beloved wife Elizabeth, daughters Janet, Alison, and Joanne, his six cherished grandchildren, and his extended family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by all of us at Gem Oils.
