Pro-XL primer and clearcoat from Somora Motor Parts
Somora Motor Parts is a stockist of the Pro-XL range, whose Pro2KPrime is described as a 2K primer‑filler that can be applied to a wide range of substrates, offering outstanding adhesion, excellent build, and very fast drying.
It uses in‑can activator 2K technology and is designed for professional refinishing applications. It is suitable for steel, aluminium, galvanised steel, PE fillers, and sanded OEM paintwork, when correctly prepared.
Pro2KPrime is designed to fill minor surface imperfections and sanding marks with a final film thickness of approximately 60–100 μm. Air drying takes approximately 45 minutes at 20 °C, with faster curing possible using oven or IR drying.
Once cured, it can be wet sanded (P800–P1000) or dry sanded (P400–P500) for efficient surface preparation.
ProXL also describes its Pro2KClear as a 2K superior high‑gloss crystal clear lacquer that delivers excellent gloss retention, durability, and a spray‑gun quality finish from an aerosol. Mechanical polishing is possible after curing.
This has been designed to deliver a crystal‑clear, high‑gloss appearance with excellent gloss retention, suitable for spot repairs and panel refinishing. Mechanical polishing is possible after 24 hours, enabling professional finishing and correction if required.
