New ContiTech kits for Volvo XC40
When the Volvo XC40 arrived on the premium compact SUV market, it was an instant hit. Named European Car of the Year 2018 and Irish Car of the Year 2019, it has been one of the manufacturer’s most important models ever since.
Mechanics are now seeing the XC40 in increasing numbers for work on the main and auxiliary drives. When it comes to the timing belt, Continental says its CT1247 ensures automotive professionals are ideally prepared to carry out jobs on the popular 1.5-litre petrol engine built from 2019. The CT1248, meanwhile, puts its 99 teeth to good use for the water pump drive.
Making things easier still here are a choice of kits – the CT1247WP1PRO for complete repair of the main drive and water pump drive, and the CT1248WP1 for replacement of the water pump drive.
As well as the thermostat and seals, the latter contains the vacuum-controlled water pump (WP6146), which is also available to order as an individual part.
As usual, the kits contain OE-quality timing belts and all the necessary parts for safe installation.
