Cyclo study grant for DIT automotive technology student
In a further demonstration of the company’s commitment to student education, Cyclo Industries Inc. recently presented DIT student Kalman Strohmayer with a grant of €500 in recognition of his 2011 award for best final year project in the DIT Department of Transport Engineering, BEngTech in Automotive Management and Technology degree programme.
Cyclo, a US-based manufacturer of professional automotive and industrial chemicals, has already announced its plans to sponsor awards for the top three DIT BEngTEch projects in 2012, with the highest-rated project winning a trip for two to one of the major US motor races – Daytona, Indy 500 or another of the winner’s choice. There are 37 students competing with 20 different projects in the inaugural Cyclo Automotive Technology Student Project Awards Scheme.

“We’re pleased to be able to present this award to Kalman on behalf of Cyclo, said Gillian Fanning, Serfac Limited, Irish distributors of Cyclo. “From the progress update recently received from DIT, we’re confident that the high standard of his project will be matched by the entries to the 2012 Cyclo Automotive Technology Project Awards.”
