Comline partners automotive YouTuber to launch timing chain kits

Comline Auto Parts has announced a new content partnership with The Car Edition YouTube channel.

Comline will sponsor 10 long-form, workshop-based videos that lift the bonnet on real-world engine diagnosis, repairs and insights, genuine installations and product demonstrations.

The episodes aim to educate and encourage independent aftermarket professionals – while showcasing the brand’s developing engine product range, including new timing chain kits, covers and camshaft modules.

The first video in the series features a timing chain replacement on a 2020 Land Rover Defender Ingenium engine, using a Comline timing chain kit. The technician explains the cause of the initial failure and highlights the warning signs owners should be aware of before serious engine damage occurs.

The full-length repair video can be viewed here, while an unboxing of the Comline timing chain kit product CTK094FV is available here.

Comline Group VP of marketing and communications, Jo Emmerson, said: “Partnering with The Car Edition allows us to communicate with the aftermarket in a more dynamic and accessible way.

“This series isn’t just about showcasing our new products, it’s about giving technicians and distributors meaningful insight into who we are as a brand, how we think, and why we invest so heavily in quality.

“As Comline’s engine programme continues to expand, this collaboration helps us tell that story with clarity, confidence and authenticity, reaching the very people who rely on our parts every day.”

Comline says its new timing chain kits are engineered to deliver OE-matching quality and reliability – backed by a robust four-year/100,000km warranty.

Developed by Comline’s engine parts department with over 40 years of specialist experience, each kit is manufactured in OE factories, features OXICOAT chain pin coating and is rigorously tested to ensure durability and peace of mind.

The range includes over 300 SKUs and covers popular applications, such as the Ford EcoBoost (2018-onwards), VAG 1.4 TSI and BMW N47 engines.

Technicians can choose a basic kit – comprising timing chain, guides, tensioner and pre-lube – or a full kit with all components required for a complete timing system replacement.
