Textar switches to grey brake cleaner caps with recycled plastic

Black plastic is one of the most difficult types of plastic to recycle due to the dyes used to make the colour. Because of this, TMD Friction’s brake brand Textar is switching from black to grey caps for its brake cleaner.

According to Textar, the new grey caps contain 100 per cent recycled materials and are also easier to recycle than before.

“This change is one small step in our overall sustainability strategy,” the company said. “By incorporating more recycled and recyclable materials, we’re supporting the reduction of waste to landfill and reducing our environmental impact.”
