Steve Carolan joins Dayco team
One year on from the formation of UK subsidiary Dayco Aftermarket UK, the company has appointed experienced aftermarket stalwart Steve Carolan as its new national sales manager for the UK and Ireland.
Steve has spent the bulk of his career with INA, part of the Schaeffler group, is therefore familiar with the power transmission sector and so is extremely qualified to take the Dayco brand through the next phase of its development in the UK and its associated markets.
Commenting on his appointment Steve said: “Having enjoyed many years within a highly regarded organisation, it’s a tremendous opportunity for me to step into another company with a fantastic original equipment pedigree and a superb range of quality products.

“Many in the trade know and trust Dayco products, but there are also many who don’t realise just how big the company is and how many of Europe’s vehicle manufactures rely on Dayco products for their power transmission requirements. There is therefore a great story to tell the trade and I’m very optimistic of the ground we can take in the market.
“I’m also very pleased to be working alongside technical manager, Andy Walters who has so much technical knowledge and experience and provides a level of support worthy of the brand. Andy will continue to coordinate the training for both our customers and technicians as well as provide the technical support so sort after by the trade.”
For Dayco Aftermarket, regional sales manager for Northern Europe, Milko Wolf added: “It was important for us to find the right individual to be able grow the Dayco brand in the UK and it was clear to us that Steve is that person.
“Steve has a proven record of success with a premium brand and was the ideal candidate to work with our primary distributors Universal Automotive in the UK and PR Reilly in the Republic of Ireland, to continue to build the reputation of the brand and grow our sales throughout these important markets.”
