Stellantis extends warranty for 1.5 BlueHDI engines

Stellantis has extended its warranty policy for earlier generations of its 1.5 BlueHDi diesel engines produced between October 2017 and January 2023, addressing issues related to the camshaft chain.

Under this enhanced policy, Stellantis says it will cover 100 per cent of parts and labour costs for up to 10 years or 150,000 miles, subject to specific conditions.

In addition, customers who have previously experienced camshaft chain issues may request from mid-July on reimbursement for related expenses.

A dedicated online compensation platform is available at https://stellantis-support.com.

Stellantis says this complementary policy applies to qualifying repairs carried out between 1st January 2023, and 30th June 2025, provided that the vehicle’s maintenance and diagnosis followed the guidelines recommended by the respective brand.

To be eligible to the special coverage, maintenance should have been performed by any automotive professional according to the manufacturer’s recommendation.

In case of issue, Stellantis says diagnosis and repair must be performed with the authorised network.
