Draper Tools generates over a half a million kWh of clean energy
Before the Christmas break, Draper Tools received its first ever annual solar report, which revealed the workshop tools and equipment supplier generated 517,373 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean, renewable energy across 2025.
Thanks to the more than 900 solar panels on the roof of its warehouse in Hampshire, carefully placed around 700 skylights, Draper Tools was able to prevent over 100 tonnes of CO2 emissions from entering the atmosphere in 2025.

The solar panels were supplied and fitted by Absolar, whose report shows Draper’s highest producing week last year was from 7th July while its highest daily output was 3,635 kWh on 18th June.
Matt Sheen, CEO at Draper Tools said: “The solar installation at our new environmentally efficient warehouse represented a major investment for us and certainly required meticulous planning and execution from the Absolar team.
“However, getting our first annual Wrap Report from them has definitively proven just how worthwhile and strategically important that decision was.
“Seeing our system generating over half a million kilowatt-hours of clean energy in its first year is incredible. Avoiding more than 100 tonnes of CO2 just shows how it’s making a real difference.”
Draper Tools will be exhibiting at the 2026 Auto Trade EXPO, which takes place alongside the CV Workshop EXPO from 10th -11th October at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin.
