bilstein group makes major solar panel investment at Markham Vale
As part of its ongoing efforts to reduce its carbon footprint, the bilstein group has unveiled a major solar panel investment at its Markham Vale distribution centre.
Now fully operational following testing and certification, 1,555 individual solar panels have been installed across more than 3,000m2 of roof space at the facility, which the bilstein group claims will enable it to use 77.7 per cent of its own energy.
The Markham Vale site in the UK opened in 2017 to bring the febi, Blue Print and SWAG brands under the one roof. The bilstein group estimates that its annual carbon savings from this solar panel investment will be equivalent to planting around 7,000 trees every year.
