Mirka to unveil next-gen tools and accessories at UKGBE

Mirka UK Ltd is set to showcase tooling and accessory innovation at the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event (UKGBE) in Birmingham next month, with the debuts of the Solution Trolley II and Polaros RP 600 on stand J16.

This new advanced rotary polisher has been developed by Mirka’s R&D team based in Jeppo, Finland, to provide users with a precision tool that is suitable for use across multiple applications and sectors.

The new trolley focuses on storage and product layout, so that technicians can have their tools, abrasives, accessories and dust extraction system in one place to increase efficiency and accessibility.

The Solution Trolley II comes as a ready-made workstation that has been designed by the R&D team in Jeppo, to be suitable for use across everyday collision repair workflows, while also allowing for customisation from the user to enhance flexibility.

It has a large tool drawer that enables the user to keep multiple tools in one location and reduces the need to grab tools from other workstations during work processes.

Its user-focused design ensures all storage areas are positioned at the front, so there is less jumping around to find what is required for the job at hand. In addition, it provides the technician with better visibility of materials, so if items are running low, it is noticeable, and the technician can order replacements before they run out.

With work in workshops constantly evolving, the trolley can be customised with the help of a range of accessories, including additional shelves, a tool wall and hose arm and spray gun holder, to name but a few. The breadth of accessories enables businesses to tweak set-ups easily based on the type of jobs being worked on and the requirements of the workshop.

Alongside the solution trolley is the new Poalros RP 600, which has a compact and balanced design that keeps the user’s hands closer to the surface for increased stability and control during the polishing process, especially for detailed or vertical work. In addition, the tool can efficiently manage its internal temperature when in use, enabling it to minimise temperature build-up, particularly during extended periods of use, to protect the internal components, so the tool has a longer lifespan.

Furthermore, the tool has a low noise output of 58 decibels – the sound level of a normal conversation – which improves working conditions in shared or noise-sensitive environments.

The Polaros RP 600 also puts the user in control with the help of the new Ramp Up and Ramp Down systems. The Ramp Up function has been developed to slowly raise the RPM as pressure is applied to the tool, and it also prevents sudden increases in speed that would send the polishing compound everywhere apart from the surface being worked on.

The Ramp Down function prevents the operator from applying excessive pressure to the machine or the surface, and once the tool feels the pressure is getting too much, it will gradually lower the RPM until the pressure is reduced.

Andy Smith, business sector manager, Collision Repair at Mirka UK Ltd, said: “We are always pushing the boundardies when it comes to the tools and accessories we offer our customers and the Polaros RP 600 and Solution Trolley II are great examples of this and we are confident both can meet the constantly evolving needs of the automotive sector.

“At the show our team is also looking forward to showcasing the Solution Trolley II and how it aids efficiency and productivity. We will also be happy to arrange a demo of the tools and accessories post-show at attendees’ sites, so they have the opportunity to see first-hand how they seamlessly integrate into their existing processes and the benefits and efficiencies they bring to the table.”

Mirka will be exhibiting at the 2026 Auto Trade EXPO, which takes place alongside the CV Workshop EXPO from 10th -11th October at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin.
