CECRA notes European Commission’s position on cross border tax obstacles
The European Council for Motor Trades and Repairs (CECRA) has taken note of the communication of the European Commission strengthening the Single Market by removing cross-border tax obstacles for passenger cars
In several position papers and answers to consultations, CECRA has indicated that the issues of double or multiple taxations, and of potential tax discriminations in case of cross-border transfers of passenger cars are of concern to CECRA’s members and all EU citizens.
CECRA has welcomed the communication of the Commission which is fully in line with its Citizenship Report of 2010. CECRA is in favour of measures going in the direction of an harmonisation at EU level of cars registration and circulation taxes.
