{"id":31167,"date":"2024-04-02T09:11:42","date_gmt":"2024-04-02T08:11:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.factorfocus.ie\/?p=31167"},"modified":"2024-04-02T11:34:55","modified_gmt":"2024-04-02T10:34:55","slug":"lkq-euro-car-parts-trialling-e-scooter-deliveries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.factorfocus.ie\/index.php\/lkq-euro-car-parts-trialling-e-scooter-deliveries\/31167","title":{"rendered":"LKQ Euro Car Parts trialling e-scooter deliveries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LKQ Euro Car Parts is piloting the use of e-scooters and cargo pedal bikes in partnership with sustainable courier provider, Delivery Mates.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Seven electric scooters are now delivering to LKQ Euro Car Parts\u2019 garage customers across the London area \u2013 specifically from its Brixton, Catford, Colliers Wood, Acton, Edmonton, Hayes and Wembley branches \u2013 together with a cargo bike working out of Wembley.<\/p>\n<p>The pilot has been designed to help LKQ Euro Car Parts further optimise the make-up of its last mile delivery fleet.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.autotrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/LKQECP-18-760x500-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"702\" height=\"462\" class=\" wp-image-69315 aligncenter\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The business currently has 70 motorbikes carrying out deliveries across London and the south of England, and with the help of Delivery Mates, intends to replace them all with e-scooters in the months ahead, before considering the rest of its UK fleet.<\/p>\n<p>The e-scooter and cargo bike trial marks the latest in a series of sustainable fleet upgrades made by LKQ Euro Car Parts and its parent company LKQ UK and Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>More than 100 electric vans have joined the branch fleet over the last six months as well as HGVs which run on alternative fuels derived from renewable sources.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LKQ Euro Car Parts is piloting the use of e-scooters and cargo pedal bikes in partnership with sustainable courier provider, Delivery Mates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3160,"featured_media":31168,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[797],"class_list":["post-31167","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-lkq-euro-car-parts"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
