{"id":27090,"date":"2022-03-29T10:54:37","date_gmt":"2022-03-29T09:54:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.factorfocus.ie\/?p=27090"},"modified":"2022-03-29T16:37:14","modified_gmt":"2022-03-29T15:37:14","slug":"hgv-floating-brake-disc-hydraulic-press-kit-from-laser-tools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.factorfocus.ie\/index.php\/hgv-floating-brake-disc-hydraulic-press-kit-from-laser-tools\/27090","title":{"rendered":"HGV floating brake disc hydraulic press kit from Laser Tools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Laser 8145 Floating Brake Disc Hydraulic Press Kit allows the operator to quickly and easily push off the floating brake discs found on many modern HGV and commercial vehicles.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-37910\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cvworkshop.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/8145_Packaging-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The high-load short rams are designed to sit between the disc and the back of the hub allowing hydraulic force to be applied to push off the disc.<\/p>\n<p>The unit is equipped with two control valves (one per ram) to allow the pressure to be applied to either both rams together or one at a time, allowing a useful \u201crocking\u201d action. The hub\/disc unit must be removed from axle before disc removal operation can be carried out. It&#8217;s also suitable for pushing off stuck wheels where access permits.<\/p>\n<p>Applications include DAF, Renault and Volvo commercial vehicles. The hydraulic rams are rated at 14 tonne, and fitted with one metre hydraulic hoses.
