<\/p>\nGS Yuasa is to finish its long-term sponsorship of Team Dynamics and Honda in the British Touring Car Championship.<\/p>\n
Last year the manufacturer, which produces Yuasa branded batteries, celebrated its 10-year anniversary as a partner of the team – one of the longest standing in motorsport.<\/p>\n

Since becoming a main sponsor of Honda Racing in 2010, Yuasa\u2019s branding became synonymous with the red, white and black works Honda Civic BTCC racing cars run by Team Dynamics.<\/p>\n
Yuasa stepped up to a title sponsor of Honda Yuasa Racing in 2012. In 2016 the team become Halfords Yuasa Racing with a livery switch to the now familiar black and orange.<\/p>\n
During its 10 years (11 seasons) in the sport, Yuasa enjoyed phenomenal success with the team and their drivers Matt Neal, Gordon Shedden and Dan Cammish. With Yuasa\u2019s backing Matt and Gordon both became three-time BTCC champions, and Dan narrowly missed out on his first BTCC title at nail biting season finale in 2019.<\/p>\n
In fact, since the relationship began in 2010, Yuasa and Team Dynamics have shared 78 race wins, 232 podiums, four drivers\u2019 championships, five teams and five manufacturers titles.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd fighting back tears as Dan just missed out on his first title with brake failure on the penultimate lap of the last race in 2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
This year will see the continuation of Yuasa\u2019s high profile motorsport sponsorship. The brand continues its long-standing partnership HRC Repsol Honda and riding legend Marc Marquez in MotoGP.<\/p>\n
Reigning British Rally Champion Matt Edwards will hunt his third championship title driving for the Yuasa Rally Team, whilst Yuasa enters its second year as a major sponsor of reigning British Superbike champions VisionTrack Ducati and reigning champion Josh Brookes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
