VW\u2019s Dieselgate scandal, Brexit, new TopGear – followed by old TopGear moving to an on-line shopping channel, Rosberg wins and quits, JLR breaks 500k units per month sales, EV vehicle sales grow by 50% – 2016 certainly has been a year to remember.<\/p>\n

David Lewis of Mark Water Pumps Limited reflects on what 2016 meant for them. \u201c2016 has been a very exciting year for us. We have continued to grow the business in several different ways. Firstly we have expanded the workforce recruiting new foundry workers as demand for our water pumps and die casting services increases rapidly.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have officially unveiled Mark Aluminium Die Casting as its own entity, having released the www.MADC.eu website. This comes off the back of receiving an increase in enquires and orders for our die casting services, particularly from LED lighting companies looking for a manufacturer of aluminium heat sinks.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe decision to create Mark Aluminium Die Casting has proven to be the correct one, as this year we have been contracted to large orders from a number of different companies. This could not have been achieved without the thirty plus years of experience in aluminium die casting design and manufacturing at Mark Water Pumps.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMark Water Pumps has also continued to flourish with increased orders from manufactures and the aftermarket. From this we also have some very exciting news which we can\u2019t wait to share within the next couple of Months!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAs well as expanding the both MWPL and MADC we have also been approved ISO\/TS 16949 certification. This certification is mandatory for suppliers of OE parts to major automotive manufacturers and we are very proud to have achieved this.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also attended this year\u2019s Automechanika fair in Frankfurt where we had the pleasure of meeting with many key people in the industry. It was very interesting listening to people\u2019s views on where the Automotive Industry stands at the moment, and the encouraging outlook on the future and what it means to them.\u201d<\/p>\n
But what of the future? Mr Lewis continues; \u201cWe are looking forward to next year as we continue to grow both our Water Pump and die casting services. We are also looking to expand our independent automotive testing facilities which are open to the automotive industry to test their components, or components which they are thinking of purchasing. We are able to test a wide variety of parts including pumps, brakes, clutches, belts, thermostats and pressure sensors, idlers and tensioners, slave cylinders, flywheels and many other engine ancillaries.<\/p>\n
