Ignition specialist NGK is once again sparking Scuderia Ferrari, Formula One\u2019s most iconic team.

\"BARCELLONA<\/a>
\nThe world\u2019s leading spark plug manufacturer is partnering the legendary Italian race team for the 2016 season to continue a 21-year relationship.<\/p>\n

The ignition and sensor specialist has sparked more than 300 victories and \u2013 taking the drivers\u2019 and constructors\u2019 championships together \u2013 has contributed to 32 titles in Formula One.<\/p>\n

Many of these successes have been the result of a co-operation which has continued for more than two decades. NGK and Scuderia Ferrari teamed up for the first time in 1996 since when they have won six World championship drivers\u2019 and eight constructors\u2019 championships.<\/p>\n

After two races, the 2016 season sees Scuderia Ferrari in second place in the constructors\u2019 championship with former World champion drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel in fifth and sixth place respectively.<\/p>\n

The companies\u2019 relationship is one that is extremely valued by NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd.<\/p>\n

NGK is the exclusive supplier of spark plugs for the SF16-H, which prominently displays the NGK logo, and the existing contract has been extended until 2020. The team from Maranello will therefore fully rely on high-tech spark plugs from NGK again in the seasons to come up until the end of the decade.<\/p>\n

Thanks to its expert technical expertise, NGK is able to tailor-make spark plugs to meet the high demands of the racing cars which bear the trademark of ultimate performance and technical sophistication, the \u2018Cavallino Rampante\u2019.<\/p>\n

We have been working closely with the technicians from Maranello again to jointly develop a spark plug which guarantees the highest performance and reliability in the world\u2019s most challenging competition.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the UK, NGK is renowned for supplying original equipment (OE) spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda and other engine management sensors to most of the world\u2019s leading vehicle manufacturers with the same parts being available to the UK and Ireland independent automotive aftermarket.
