Topdon unveils two new inspection borescopes
Topdon has expanded its diagnostic inspection portfolio with the launch of the VIS002 and VIS002 UV, two high-performance borescopes designed to help professional technicians inspect tight, dark and complex areas with greater visibility.
Both models are engineered around responsive 210° two-way articulation, allowing the device to navigate around corners and into confined spaces where inspection by eye alone can be difficult. A bright 4.3-inch IPS colour display provides clear viewing directly on the unit, helping technicians assess components without unnecessary disassembly.
Designed specifically to meet the demands of workshop environments, the heads and cables on both models feature an IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating, offering protection against water, dust and oil. Automatic overheat protection is also incorporated to help safeguard the camera sensors during high-temperature automotive inspections.
Both borescopes enable technicians to capture photographs and video directly during an inspection, with images saved in JPG format and video recorded in AVI. A 32GB microSD card is included as standard, with storage expandable up to 128GB.
TOPDON VIS002
The VIS002 is designed for precise vehicle inspections in hard-to-reach areas, combining a slim 5.5mm, 1MP probe with flexible articulation to help technicians investigate confined spaces.
Its compact probe is suited to navigating tight fluid lines and complex engine components, providing greater visibility where access is restricted.
TOPDON VIS002 UV
Building on the inspection capabilities of the VIS002, the VIS002 UV combines bright white LED illumination with 365nm UV lighting, making it suited to applications where standard lighting alone may not be enough.
The UV function can help technicians locate fluorescent dye leaks and verify hidden security markings, offering an additional inspection capability from the same tool.
