John Connolly RIP
The death has occurred of John Connolly, Cloniston, Clones, Co. Monaghan, Tuesday 25th March 2025, suddenly, unexpectedly and peacefully in the Mater Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family.
Our sympathy goes to his wife Celine, daughter Lorraine, son Mark. John will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughter, son, his extended family and many friends and work colleagues.
A statement from Gem Oils read: John grew up with the company and has been part of the Gem Oils family since 1979. John was a cherished member of our team who served as an Area Business Manager for over 46 years. His dedication, professionalism and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with and his invaluable contributions to our team and warm presence will be deeply missed.
Gem Oils has lost a great ambassador who invested his career and great energy to our organisation. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his son Mark, who is also a member of the Gem Oils team, his wife Celine, daughter Lorraine, his four grandchildren, extended family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his friends and colleagues in Gem Oils. May he rest in peace.
Gem Oils will be closed tomorrow, Friday 28th March, as a mark of respect and to attend the funeral service of our dear friend.

John will resting at the family home, Cloniston, Clones, today Thursday, 27th from 3pm to 9pm with removal on tomorrow, Friday morning, 28th March, at 11.45 arriving to St Alphonsus Church, Connons for 12.30pm Funeral Mass followed by Cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 3.30pm www.churchservices.tv/lakelands
