Schaeffler extends LuK clutch range

Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd is celebrating after releasing new parts for more than 15 million additional vehicles over the past year.

The company has announced it has extended its LuK clutch range for the independent automotive aftermarket to deal with the requirements of nearly six million additional vehicles in 2013.

This follows the recent news that it released new INA tensioner parts for nearly 6.4 million vehicles during the year and FAG wheel bearings for more than 2.76 million vehicles over the same period.

Malcolm Short, Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd Technical Services Manager, said: “We have expanded our market-leading LuK clutch, INA tensioner and FAG wheel bearings ranges tremendously over the past year which is tribute to the hard work of all our staff.

New LuK clutch part numbers were released during 2013 for 5.85m vehicles comprising 54 LuK RepSets, for a vehicle parc of 2.66m vehicles, 17 Dual Mass Flywheels (DMFs), for 1.56m vehicles, 20 LuK RepSet Pros, 954,000, and 10 LuK Cylinders, 668,000.

The new additions further strengthen LuK’s pre-eminent position in the clutch market-place with recent additions being added for some significant models on the UK and Ireland’s roads.

Two news DMFs have recently been introduced for vehicles that include the VW Golf V (1K1) 2.0 GTI 10/2004-02/2009, and VW Golf VI (5K1) TDI 10/2008-05/2013, both fitted with the innovative LuK DSG gearbox.

While LuK RepSet Pros are now available for the Ford Mondeo IV 2 03/2007-, and VW Amarok 2.0 TSI 12/2010-, and the Peugeot RCZ 1.6 16v 03/2010-.

In addition, a LuK RepSet has been released for more than 67,000 vehicles including the Land Rover Freelander 2 (FA) 2.2 TD4, 10/2006-, and a number of LuK RepSets for Far Eastern models including the Mitsubishi L200 2.5 Di-D 4WD (KB4T), 11/2005-, and Toyota Yaris 1.4 D-4D, 01/2006-.
