He succeeds Neil Pattemore, who has retired from his consultancy work for FIGIEFA after 10 successful years.

Irishman McDonagh has extensive experience in the field of automotive telematics. He worked many years for Pioneer and Aisin in the automotive sector. He has an engineering background and experience in product development, project management, product management and product planning in the OE, Aftermarket and connected service domains.

He has lived for the past 25 years with his family in Brussels, and speaks fluent French. Due to his prior work experience, McDonagh also has a working knowledge of Japanese.

Following his retirement, FIGIEFA thanked Pattemore for his “outstanding work over the last ten years,” adding, “he handled all technical issues with his incomparable style, and topics were always thoroughly analysed in order to achieve the best for FIGIEFA and the independent aftermarket.

“His ability to see the big picture and present complex issues in an understandable way was particularly appreciated. His knowledge, experience, commitment and personal authority have earned him great respect.”
