Motul launches new classic engine oils

Motul first launched its dedicated classic oil range back in 2008, and has now added to this range with two new technology oils specially formulated for older engines.

These dedicated products with adapted detergent levels to better suit old engines, cover pre-war vehicles up to ‘Youngtimers’ (also known as Modern Classics).

As well as lubricants, the classic range includes coolants, cleaners and care products exclusively designed for the maintenance and care of these automotive gems.

Suitable for genuine or rebuilt engines, Classic Eighties 10W-40 and Classic Nineties 10W-30 are new semi-synthetic multigrade engine oils specially designed for modern classic and youngtimer vehicles from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s fitted with four-stroke engines, fuelled by either petrol or diesel, naturally aspirated, supercharged or turbocharged, injection or carburetor.

These semi-synthetic formulas feature a high-Zinc (ZDDP) content for protection and molybdenum for performance.

Its unique formula, reinforced with synthetic base oils, provides excellent cold flow properties to prevent engine wear during start-ups and offers excellent cold-flow properties, according to Motul.

It claims that the unique additives package also brings excellent long-term storage protection for those periods when driving just for fun just isn’t possible.

Alpha Lubricants distributes the full range of Motul’s car, commercial heavy duty, agri and motorcycle products nationwide.
