KYB Three Peaks Challenge

KYB is planning on completing the UK’s Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours on 20-21 July 2012 to raise money for BEN, the automotive industry charity.
A team of five employees from KYB UK – the leading supplier of shock absorbers, coil springs and suspension mounting kits – plan on taking part in the challenge that takes on the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales all within 24hours! The trek covers an astonishing 40kms, involves climbing 3,400m and traveling more than 556 miles between the peaks.

The challenge begins in one of Scotland’s most scenic areas: Glen Nevis Valley, where the teams will climb Ben Nevis, the largest mountain in the UK, standing at 1,344m. Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England standing at 978m is the second peak and finally the challengers take on the highest mountain in Wales: Snowdon, standing at 1,085m.

The KYB UK team consists of Business Managers Stevie Moore, Romin Nassiri and Jordan Day, and Customer Services Supervisor Vicky Smith. Former General Manager Matt Robinson is also joining the team, all of who are working hard to train for the event.

KYB UK’s Business Manager, Stevie Moore, said “It seemed like a good idea when it was first suggested that we should take part, now all we have to do is get fit! I am sure it will be hard work, but it is in a very good cause and I’m confident that we will complete it and raise much needed funds for BEN.”

BEN’s Events Manager, Kelly Neal, commented “We are always excited when people go above and beyond to raise money for BEN and KYB are doing just this. We wish them all the best and will be supporting them all the way.”
