First Line sets the standard

As these products will now be supplied as a ‘kit’ in nearly all cases the prefix ‘K’ will be introduced at the end of the original part number (e.g. FSK6157 = FSK6157K). Therefore First Line encourages its existing customers to update their ordering systems accordingly.

The reasoning behind the ‘sold in pairs’ initiative is to increase the standards of service that the workshop provides to its customers. Replacing a single steering component will mean that the vehicle will have totally different steering and handling characteristics on each axle, because the part worn components will behave very differently to the new. At best this is an undesirable situation and at worst could compromise the safety of the vehicle.
