FG7 awarded for team effort

Factor Group 7 (FG7) was recently presented with a ‘Branch Team’ award at the CAT Awards in Manchester.

The UK publication said it was “impressed” with the way that the FG7 team works together to fill orders and solve problems.

“Running any factor branch is difficult, but particularly so for a warehouse distributor – and when you factor in further issues in Northern Ireland caused by Brexit, you can see that running such a business requires resource, planning and patience,” CAT said.

“Delighted and very excited to have received an award for team of the year on behalf of all the team at FG7,” said Peter Cox, commercial manager at FG7.

“2022 was a challenging year across Great Britain and Northern Ireland, but Northern Ireland had additional obstacles to overcome and the team did incredibly well.”

Located in Cookstown, Co Tyrone, FG7 was formed in October 2000 to strengthen the buying power for a consortium of motor factors across Northern Ireland.

In 2010, the Group took possession of a 33,000 square foot warehouse in Cookstown, choosing this as a central location to service the Northern Ireland market.

Quickly outgrowing this space, FG7 purchased new premises twice the size in Coagh, allowing it direct access to the major connecting routes in the region.

Since then, FG7 has expanded further into the Republic of Ireland, servicing 16 branches here.
