Febi says it’s all about timing
The engine timing design is an intricate system that has been developed over the years. The precise and exact designs of all engine timing components are essential to the safety and performance of the vehicle.
For a vehicle to be fully efficient the engine timing system must synchronize with the components surrounding it. There must be maximum precision of the movement at all speeds and load ranges. Due consideration must be given to the driving comfort, fuel consumption and emission values.
With increased rates of compression in the combustion chamber, high pressure injection systems and higher torque increase the stress to which engine components are exposed to. The timing chain controls the timing of the vehicles engine valves, by connecting the crankshaft to the camshaft, which in turn controls the opening and closing of the piston valves in order for combustion to occur.
