FAI streamlines timing chain kit contents
FAI Automotive is simplifying its Timing Chain Kit (TCK) contents to create just three derivatives per application, making it easier for customers looking for a TCK solution.
It says this move will allow for quick identification, as well as reducing stock holding and shipping costs.
As a result, FAI will also streamline how it creates part numbers.
For example, customers can now follow a system to identify the solution they need, with TCKxxxWO referring to a basic kit without gears or gaskets, TCKxxx referencing a kit with gears and gaskets (excluding VVT hub(s)) and, TCKxxxVVT referring to a complete kit with gears, gaskets, VVT hubs and stretch bolts (where applicable).
