DENSO makes appointments to sales team
Following the recent appointment of Martin Pring as the new UK manager, DENSO has also further invested in its dedicated sales team, strengthening customer relations across the UK and in Northern Ireland.

Iain Dickerson
Boosting DENSO’s sales team are two new faces – Iain Dickerson and Mark Poole, who will be responsible for driving sales within Scotland and Northern Ireland, and Yorkshire and a selection of key buying groups respectively.
Previously of Bosch and Klarius QH, DENSO’s new area sales executive for Scotland and Northern Ireland, Iain Dickerson will be using his 21 years of experience within the aftermarket to grow DENSO’s presence within this thriving market across the border and over the Irish Sea. He said: “DENSO is currently witnessing exceptional growth within Scotland and Northern Ireland, which makes joining at this time an exciting prospect. There is, however, still much work to do in order to secure full market penetration, and grow our distribution network. I am looking forward to getting out on the road to meet with our customers, and to share with them details of our product expansion plans.”
Joining Iain will be Mark Poole, as area sales executive for Northern England. With over 30 year’s aftermarket experience, Mark’s career has seen him hold a variety of roles, including time at Bosal, Klarius QH and Exide. Now a core member of DENSO’s team, Mark said: “I am looking forward to growing and enhancing our business partnerships with distributors, as well as developing new relationships within my key area. DENSO’s reputation speaks for itself, and I intend to use this as a platform for further growth. I am excited to be joining DENSO and to be working alongside such an established team. I look forward to the future with DENSO.”
Speaking about the appointment of Iain and Mark is DENSO’s new UK manager, Martin Pring. He said: “I am extremely pleased to be able to welcome both Iain and Mark to the UK aftermarket sales team. Their appointments come at a time of significant development for our UK business, and I’ve no doubt that their combined experience will be prove to be an asset from the off. I look forward to working alongside them both.”
In addition to the appointment of Iain and Mark, Martin also confirmed that the existing sales team has been reorganised to ensure maximum UK coverage, whilst maximising the individual strengths and specialisms of each team member. Assistant manager, Kevin Peacocke will now be focussing on key buying group relationships, as well as specialising in DENSO Thermal systems. Colin Davies, who shares assistant managerial responsibilities with Kevin, will be running the Southern region, key accounts and Mitsubishi parts. Leading the Midlands South region, as well becoming DENSO’s makes specialist will be Jason Smith, whilst sales support will be provided by Charlotte Leavesley. In addition to this, DENSO’s technical expert, Alan Povey, will continue to focus on training and warranty issues.
Martin added: “Further expansion of our UK offering – from more OE introductions to our product portfolio, to improved services for customers – will remain at the forefront of our development plans for the coming years. We have some exciting ideas for growing our UK business and look forward to sharing them with the aftermarket very soon.”
