Continental adds five new auxiliary drive kits for mild hybrids

Continental has added to its range five new auxiliary drive kits specially designed for mild hybrids as replacement parts, claiming to be the first manufacturer to do so.

Besides the multi V-belt itself, these kits also contain the tensioning elements for the mild-hybrid drive system at hand.

In addition to this, there are another 13 kits from Continental for cars with diesel and gasoline engines, which also come complete with all the accompanying parts and are suitable for fitting in several million vehicles.

Five new auxiliary drive kits for mild hybrids

6PK1034 EXTRA K1 (for many different engines, including the 1.5 eTSI)
This kit is used in numerous mild hybrid models from the Volkswagen Group that have only been on the market since 2019/20, most notably the VW Golf, together with the Audi A3, Seat Leon, Skoda Octavia and others.

6PK1120 EXTRA K1 (EA288 evo/2.0 TDI engine)
This kit can likewise be found under the bonnet of many vehicles, such as the A4, A5, A6, A7 and Q5 models from Audi.

Three further auxiliary drive kits have been designed for various Audi models, including the Audi 3.0 TDI mild hybrid unit: the 6PK882 EXTRA K1, 6PK967 EXTRA K1 and 6PK922 EXTRA K1 kits.

The new multi V-belt kits cover a whole series of very popular car models. The 6PK1130K4, for instance, can be fitted in over two million vehicles, including the Mercedes-Benz A-Class (A160, A180), B-Class (B180) and CLA 180, as well as the Renault Clio 1.5 dCI and Nissan Qashqai 1.5 dCI.

The 6PK1045K4 kit covers around three million vehicles, such as the Peugeot 2008 1.2 THP and Citroen C3 1.2 PureTech 110.

The 6PK1660K5 belt kit is suitable for around a further 1.1 million vehicles, e.g. the BMW 118d, 320d and 520d models. The 6PK1200K3 and 6PK1070K5 kits, meanwhile, are each compatible with over two million vehicles.
