Castrol launches new Ford Trucks approved engine oil
Castrol has launched a new commercial vehicle engine oil specifically designed for use in Ford Trucks.
According to Castrol, the new Vecton 5W-30 F-Trucks CK-4 lubricant meets Ford Trucks’ WSS-M2C213-A1 specification, aligning with the demanding standards of the European market.
It is also suitable for F-Max trucks with Ford’s Ecotorq Euro 6 engine and adheres to API’s CK-4 specifications.
This launch coincides with Ford Trucks’ European product development strategy, providing a reliable and efficient lubrication solution for the brand’s existing and upcoming commercial vehicle models.
Castrol says the Vecton 5W-30 F-Trucks CK-4 is formulated to withstand the challenges of modern engines, which generate higher torque and operate under increased temperature and pressure.
Castrol claims its System Pro Technology ensures this lubricant can deliver up to 45 per cent extra performance reserve (EPR). This technology combats oil breakdown by neutralising harmful acids, controlling aeration, and resisting viscosity loss. This translates to extended drain intervals and enhanced engine protection in demanding conditions.
The new Castrol Vecton 5W-30 F-Trucks CK-4 is available in 208-litre drums through Certa, Castrol’s sole country partner for Ireland and Northern Ireland.
